Alex Hue Pinstripe

I was wondering if anybody knows some more about the "Alex Hue Pinstripes" ?
I know they are animals that have a Eclipse like pattern, and some have full black eyes, some snake eyes, and some non eclipse eyes. It also carries on reccesive. But how does it combine with other genes ? If you cross Pinstripe X Bell and then the offspring together, will you get another "type" of RADAR ?
Or does anyone knows if there is a Tremper Pinstripe or Bell Pinstripe ?

If anyone could help me with this, I would appreciate it.

Thanx,

Teun

You've heard of revisionist history. Well, this is an example of revisionist morphology. Or "marketing". Pick your fable of choice.

No, I used this group only. No crossed but all eggs was empty and when they stop laying I sold them.

I have only 1 female pinstripe, and she had been bred to a Mack Snow Bell Enigma, i've got 1 baby from this pairing yet, and a couple of eggs went bad. So we'll see what comes out when I cross the offspring together next year.
But I only have 1 female pinstripe, so I'm unable to try and find out if it different than eclipse. Maybe next year.

Lottiz:

A friend of mine had 0.3 Pinstripe of which 1 had 2 full black eyes, 1 with i believe snake eyes, and the one I have right now has the darkisch eyes.
But they do have the patternless stripe pattern like an eclipse, so maybe it is something like that.

It honestly looks like a Patternless Stripe animal. I`m also curious as to why these "Pinstripes" are only marketed overseas and not in North America? Correct me if I`m wrong but I have yet to see someone working with "Pinstripes" in the US or Canada.

That is wierd since he is a breeder from the United States! Why are they only over seas? I have started to wonder more about his animals the more i read up on things. He seems to have alot of eclipse looking eyes for not having any eclipse genes. I know this because i asked him several months ago. I got a Mack Tremper from him who has a snake eye. E-mail him and he told me no eclipse genetics in his stock. I also bought a "ghost" who has a carrot tail and is yellow. Now i'm being told he isn't a ghost because of the carrot tail. E-mailed him about it last week and still no contact from him.

You may well have lucked out with the Mack Tremper (possibly) Eclipse.

There's a lot of history involved with contact. Be happy you're not from Japan.

i don't understand why lottiz, a respected breeder had issues with them,
except if the geckos had issues to begin with/

maybe it's a genetic mutation from a group that was just isolated and inbred..
it certainly looks very eclips-ish...

the facial structure looks slightly like an overbite, which is something i think breeders usually try to avoid (used to)....could this be from excessive line breeding of similar features, maybe also could be why the geckos had trouble with eggs...too closely related?

sorry to hear about the troubles,
hope the luck gets better

This was JMG´s answer to me when I wrote some time ago and asked about the genetics
the pinstripe pattern is recessive, the black eyes are also recessive, but the 2 genes are not directly linked, you can produce stripes with out the black eyes, and black eyes without the stripes, the only way to produce black eye stripes is to use black eye stripes bred to other black eye stripes

it's ok, i just ate for you ;) and had coffee.....:main_thumbsup:
haha
i just texted you btw...

odd genetics, but just curious how i didn't get the memo about these before..

idk, personally, it';s hard enough to sell a non albino animal, idk why anyone would want to get involved in a genetic so similar to the eclipse but not eclipse...i guess recessive black eyes unrelated to eclipse is interesting,
it happens in blizzards, patternless, and someothers anyway...
i would be curious if they were only sold overseas, this i cannot confirm,

I've bred the female to a Mack Snow Bell Enigma, and was lucky enough to hatch a Mack Snow Enigma het. Bell "het Pinstripe?" out of the first clutch, it's also a male, so I hope, I will hatch out a couple more Macks het. Bell "het Pinstripe" so I can cross them next year and see what comes out.

He does have the Pinstripe like eyes, but some normal Mack Enigma's do have eyes like this, i like this male though:)
