Geeeze!!! I don't see how you could possible keep track of which geckos are what! I certainly wouldn't be able to... but it sure would be fun trying to sort them all out!

its all about labeling its actually very easy to do it looks like mass confusion but it is actually very acurate. when you are crossing certain things you get allot of variation but it can come from the same parents. so it actually looks harder then it is. take the second pic for example. that was Mack enigma het tremper X giant tremper. you just get a bunch of different looking babies. :main_thumbsup:

:main_robin: Wooh!! 71 they all look ruffly the same age. You actually hatched out 71 (that I can count) geckos in one week or even 2 weeks ?:rolleyes5: that would be a half to a whole season for us.

I cant remember from previous posts if you have a "day " job or not . Either way, Congratulations to you for taking the time to properly care for all those hatchlings not to mention all the adult you have to take care of as well. :juggle2: do you have time for sleep:zzz:
Looking forward to getting some of your stock in the future.

One of them looks like a SS Tremper...see, I agree with Marcia, I'd still lose track!

no its actualy a snow tremper enigma most of them are born white with little or no pattern at all. usualy the pattern shows up with 3-4 weeks. and i know it cant be a super because what the parents were.

and yes they were all born with in the last week. it was deffenitly the time i was getting close to 150 eggs a week.

yes it is alot of work i do have a ful time job as a vet tech and i work 40 hours a week but i actualy live 50 feet from where i work so i dont waist time on a drive to work :main_thumbsup: and on my lunch i go over and spend half of it in the gecko room

as far as the time i spend in the gecko room its probably close to 30 hours if not more a week and yes that leaves me very little time but it was i chose to do because i love doing this. i love creating beautiful geckos. its alot of work but i love doing it

as far as losses i have lost 3 geckos so far this year. two breeder females that got egg bound and i couldn't save them and i put one bell enigma down because it kept building up fluid in its abdomen and we drained it multiple times and it just kept comeing back. so it was in the best interest of the gecko to put it down.

yes i did have a lot of females that i breed this year i dont think 300 but close. i am working on close to 40-50 different projects so that takes a few females to do that. unfortinatly to create some of the crosses that i did this year it is very bad odds so to make the odds better i used more females. on a possitive note there are alot of "by product" multi hets that are created these are geckos that we sell at shows as first geckos for beginers. but most people dont know the genetic possiblitys of some of the cheap show geckos that we sell. im not saying they are all like that but alot of them are dubble and tripple poss hets.

as far as all of the differnt stuff going on every thing i have is labled and i know 3-4 some times more generations back of what the geckos lines are. and i work with them every day so to me what looks to be a bomb went off is actualy a very controled.

secreats to all of this is feed mealworms, supplement well, and health adults = healthy babies. stress is bad stressed adults lay "stressed eggs" and hatch stressed babies. so play soft music and light a candle :main_thumbsup:

LOL Like I said, I'd get confused! I wish we worked at your speed. We end up spending 30 hours in the gecko room and we only have about 200.
