Argh, once again I embark on the never ending arguement of tattoos. I know alot of board members here have tattoos, so i brought it upon your feet.

To start it off. My brother, a few buddies, and myself argued (over the phone) about what was more painful. A piercing, or a tattoo. between our lip piercings and tattoos my brother and I decided right away that tattoos' were at the cost of much more pain.

Then up to bat again, me and my brother starting fighting about which one of our tattoos were more painful.
----->Now keep in mind I have ONE tattoo, of the ford mustang symbol (about 6x3). and my brother has many more than myself.
My brother claims that his 'roman pistols' tattoos, which are on his wasteline, were 100x more painful then the one on the top of my back.

I cant seem to understand how the area on his stomach can be more sensitive than the area on the top of the back/lower neck.

Can someone justify either me or my brother ian.

soo nathans flaming mustang, or ians guns?

PS: due to my bad resizing skills my pictures a bit out of wack. but im in the process of getting someone to take a picture of my back (rather than use a mirror)

Both! I've wanted a tat for ever but I'm to much of a chicken to get one.

Its more of an 'burning/anoying' pain than it is a 'break down and cry' pain. It wasnt as bad as i thought.

His are bigger there for, more painfull. Thats my vote.

I understand what you mean, but try pinching underneath your belt, and then pinching the back of your neck. Its the only way i can express the difference in pain.

I think the bigger and more color the worse it hurts, piercings pain only last few minutes my tats were sore for a few days after, and how are you able to get tats at 15??

I have to agree your brothers hurt more and for two reasons.

1.Size..... Look at the size of the tat.

2. Location..... I can't see where his ends but I'm guessing it's damn near close to where my tat is.

When I had my little itty bitty tat 2" x2" the guy kept stoping to see if I was ok, due to the location. He said it's the most painful (out of the normal) areas to get one. Personally I didn't think it hurt at all. No you can't see my tat...hehehe

Waist line is way more painfull than the top of the back and the pistols are bigger which also makes them more painfull. The pain level depends on the location and size. We have 100+ hours of combined tattoo work. Some hurt some didn't. Sometimes it depends on how you're feeling that day. Plus, the older you get the more they hurt. Bottom line none of them feel good!

I got one on my back and I didn't think it hurt bad at all except when he got near my spine. That sort of felt like a hot knife being dragged down my back, the rest just sort of felt like sandpaper. I definitely wouldn't want one on or around my hip area. That's just far too boney for my taste.

Damn! So that's why my last tattoo hurt more than the others.....

My last one was pretty painful, it is on the inside ankle area, when he got to the bottom part of the tattoo, where the ankle bone is, I was actually starting to get a little "Uncomfortable" and I have a high tolerance for pain :main_angry:

i cant figure out why the pain would change with age.

Id think that after three or four tattoos it would be easier on you, know what to expect.

With parent consent you are able to get tattos at a young age.
I never knew that, LOL.

My parents would have never went for it anyways.

I got mine when I was 17..and at the age of 22 I'm STILL hiding it! I wish my parents would have just agreed to letting me get one because I hate the fact that I have to be careful whenever I'm around them.

I'm obviously not worried about getting grounded haha, but they'll give me the "I'm so disappointed" line. I can't stand that! :main_rolleyes:
