I don't know, I just chose other because I was thinking of some kind of rock paint or something, so it was textured.. I think it would look cool, but I don't know if it'd be cool if the leo could climb the walls..

NICE setup you have, though, I really like it! Your gecko is beautiful too :smitten:

I really don't have any idea if house paint is okay or not. I have never built a cage for my geckos. If you are able to use normal house paint, I would go with satin or high gloss so that you could clean it easier.

How high is the gap beneath the steps at the bottom right? I'm just thinking that it could be a haven for elusive crickets :)

Also, I'm building a rock wall and was going to use normal household wall paint. Someone in another thread on these forums suggested that hobby paint that's suitable for kids and pets may be better. The main thing to look out for is making sure that it's non-toxic.

I think the fake rock look would look nicely in there

i posted on your other thread for this... acrylic craft paint is safe to use, and it holds up well in my hot humid Poison Dart tank... even w/ water running over it... you can get some really natural looks with it, either styrofoam or great stuff foam, cover it in grout, then paint w/ acrylic.... looks just like rocks but much lighter in weight..

I've used normal house paint, in a leopard gecko cage before, you will be fine, if you choose to use that.
