So, I've got this gecko who is more than a bit ambiguous. It's got wonky genetics and was a rescue and rehabilitation from the Idaho Herpetological Society that they adopted out. I ended up picking the little gecko up and they assured me it was male, but now I'm really starting to question that.
It's just a pet, not a breeder, but with breeding season getting geared up, it's started to dig. A lot. Tore through most of the paper towel in all the hides (gonna put coco fiber in there to keep it from hitting glass now). But one thing that is very strange is that this gecko has V pores, six of them, to be exact- four on one side and two on the other. These six pores have the waxy secretion. There is no hemipenal bulge. The gecko is very large, far longer than any of my for sure females. Has anyone ever encountered this? Apparently intersex individuals can exist amongst leopard geckos, so is this what I've encountered? Or is it something that happened because of the bad breeder who the IHS rescued it from?
I'm at work right now, so I can't post pictures, but I will post them on request when I get home.
