Awesome leo as usual Dan, but I still think the colors are quite a bit different... It could just be me but I think there is no comparison between the two at all....

I know with the first mack I hatched from the project, it changed quite rapidly before the dark spots started fading out... It also looks very similar to yours as far as color goes but its still holding the tangerine color and it still looked nothing like the one in the first post of this thread at any stage...
Here it was at about the same age as the the one posted in the first post...

Here is an updated pic...

It was a little more of an orange-ish color, the pic was taken under full spectrum flourescent, which made the yellow stand out. Like I was saying it was not orange but that was how it looked after some yellow had started to fill in over the lavender parts.

I dont think too many will be the same shade of color, some may be less intense, some may be more, which is why I say I dont think it is anything different. Still could be, and they are still awesome geckos!

I know exactly what you are talking about... I see similar changes in the one I just posted above...

The thing is with this new one, when it hatched, it looked very similar to the way it looks now, black spots and all... It hatched between the last week in Feb and the first week of March... Infact, I told Kelli about it on the phone a couple of days after it hatched before I was able to post pics due to a broken camera... It has been through 4 or 5 sheds and that color is just getting brighter and the spots are slowly going away...

It may not be something "totally" different but it does stand aside and is a bit unique from any other SH macks I have ever seen and may just move SH Macks up a few notches.... Plus this one may go bald which would be something that has not happend in the snow line that I know of...

Like I said, time will tell but I think things are moving on the right track....:main_thumbsup:

Just a question you keep refering to this leo as a SH mack which i asume is super hypo mack snow ?.Is't it infact a super hypo mack ghost which is a snow X tangerine type witch you used a SHTCTB = ghost ?.Give it a nother two years or so somone will get from a white mack snow to mack snow breeding a proper super hypo mack snow being white so white back ground with spotted head/clean white boby/spoted tail would this type of leo be the rightful name taker of super hypo mack snow ? or when this leo does come what you sepose to name it ?.

Hey Gazz,
To me and many others, a ghost and a super hypo are one in the same...
The female I am using to produce these macks is a super hypo tangerine there for if the offspring are without spotting, they would be considered super hypos as well even when mixed with the mack genetics...

Now if I ever have the chance to produce a super snow with no spotting, it would be called a super hypo super snow...
