Haha Caleb what do you do about smell? You should really make a YouTube video though on how you keep your set up. By the way be careful about breathing Meal worm poop/dust. Over time you will become allergic to the stuff. Since your around with it so much I'm surprised you haven't said any thing about mass sneezing, coughing, etc. There was even a guy who was so affected by it who got hospitalized. Just saying be careful ;)

I now wear a heavy duty respirator and disposable gloves when feeding mealworms. I also run an air cleaner in the living room. I still have to be careful so I can keep breathing.

I don't keep crickets. Mealworms don't smell in my opinion. Their poop is tiny particles, kind of like pure soft sand. I don't think the particles get in the air much, especially because poop sinks to the bottom of the wheat bran, so doesn't have much contact with air until all of the wheat bran is gone. It's only in a small corner of a room I don't frequent, and only some people develop allergies to them, not all people do. Just don't work too closely to the bin, I have mine in racks, and the highest one is still over 1ft from my face.

Yeah I know not every one does but its good to take pre - cautions c: Like I said you may not at first but the allergies develop over large amounts of exposure. Good thing you wear Gloves, and a respirator. Skin can also become some what inflammatory when it gets in to contact with mealworm poo. Like Caleb said not every one will be affected the same way. It may be more serious or a lot less then how you thought your body would react to it!
