Hi guys just after abit of help I'm really having a hard time at getting my Leo to take her medication

She is and has always been very nervous around me so I try to keep handling to a minimum

I have tried droping it on her nose but she shakes it off and tried opening her mouth but she just won't budge

Cheers..

What about a dosing syringe? Or a needle with the needle part removed There's still a little plastic tip that you could kinda push into the corner of her mouth.

Generally, when i've got a stubborn one I'll drop the medication on their nose/mouth, then run my nail gently between their "lips" on the side..it gets them to open their mouth and once they realize there's a drop of something there they start licking. Usually works like a charm

Here's my method: sit on the couch in a semi-reclining position. Put the gecko on your chest with one hand lightly over it if it seems like it wants to escape. Use a syringe with the extra hollow metal tube so it's easier to get the medication to the gecko. Put a drop on the nose and when the gecko licks it off, just keep them coming. This is pretty much like what everyone else has recommended, except that it avoids a situation where you're holding the gecko and having it squirm and get upset. I had to medicate 3 geckos every other day for a month this winter and it worked well for everyone.

See if she'll calm down if you just let her rest on your chest. If she starts climbing, let her get to the "top" and then gently put her back. Sometimes they eventually stop "running".
