I had recently purchased leopard gecko from a locl breeder. I have had him for 3 days now so I decided to try and handle him today. He seems rather wild. He bites my fingers like he thinks their food. When I put my hand near him to try and pick him up and runs off very quickly. So instead I tried to put my hand in there with my palm down. He seemd rather curious about this and decided to investigate. He actually walked up on my hand twice but as soon as I slowly began to lift i he freaks out and gets off very quickly. So then he tries to nudge under my hand like he was trying to burrow under me which was really cute :main_laugh:. So I tried one other thin when he ran into his moist hide. I picked up his hide and set my hand beside the opening to see if he would walk out on my hand. He eventually did but he had te same problem he quickly hopped off my hand. When I asked the breeder he said that they were handled every other day. With the way he is acting he acts like he has never been handled in his life. I also asked them if they hand feed him and they said definetly not which yeah he acts like my finger have food because when I feed him yesterday he would go after my fingers. When he was done eating he had no interest with them. So do any of you have any ideas of what is wrong or do you think the breeder didnt do what he said he does? Sorry this is so long.
