I found this Tokay on a forum awhile ago... I can't remember which one it was so I thought I'd ask around to see if anyone knew the breeder. I love the color and I was hoping to see what they look like as an adult!
The first animal is a normal tokay hatchling. It is just dark due to stress. Tokays go through a range of shade/color changes due to mood, temperature, etc. That animal will look like every other normal tokay gecko when fully grown.
The second animal is a powder blue patternless. Once again it is dark due to stress.
huh... i didnt think the normal ones got pure black like the first picture... i thought they only got to a medium-ish grey... interesting. I dont really care about the second one, i was just trying to match the first picture up with something and thats as close as i got lol
I've got 11 and never have mine been stressed enough to turn that black. I've seen my greens turn dark grey and my blues turn lighter grey. I've seen many morphs but none that dark. Intresting.

that's my fiancée's hand and a less than 24 hour old tokay hatched 11/20/2010, photo taken 11/21/2010.
Almost all my tokay babies have hatched dark like that. Their paternal lineage dates back to a WC male I got in 1993. The father of this one is pictured below and was my first ever tokay I successfully hatched and raised up, dating to March 1999.
