i am new to this and noticing that in my search for sunglows the prices are a bit high, and they usually sell within one day of being posted for sale. is this a time of the year when pickings are slim? will their be a much larger supply in the sumer due to when they breed?

This is actually a great time of year to buy, prices are probably lower now than the rest of the year. New babies are hatching so very young geckos are available and everyone needs to make room for holdbacks.

I'm sorry to react on this but am I the only one who finds it annoying that david13 makes completely unnecesary (sp?) comments, perhaps to get his postcount up?
Maybe it's just me but it annoys me to hell and I don't see why you do it?!
Sorry for going off the topic here Karls-geckos but this is a very good example.
On-topic for the sake of it: I have no idea but I guess what Mel&Keith said seems logical to me.
Again sorry if I'm wrong and sorry for hijacking!

I'm sorry to say that I have to agree with you the needless posts are well just that unnecessary.

I do have to agree with Mel & Keith just for the fact that this is the best time to buy unsexed babies. If you are looking for Juveniles to sub-adults you will want to wait till Summer/Fall.

Since we're already off topic...

Guys, if you have a problem with a post please just report it (orange triangle) or pm a mod. It leads to less arguing which is always better!

I'd say that this time of year you'll find the last of the previous year's hatchlings as well as some of the first hatchlings for the current year. Around summer and fall you should be able to find more juvenile geckos.

Just keep looking. Don't settle for the first thing you come across just because you haven't seen one in a while.

This is a great time of the year to buy. I buy all year round. Now is the time when you see a combination of hatchling, juvies and adults for sale. Depending what you are looking for, it is out there and alot of it. I don't have any Sunglows but I remember seeing some for sale on Kingsnake not long ago. Also check the Classified section further down in this forum. Good Luck.
