Are Ionic Breeze Air purifiers okay? Worried about ozone.

My dad bought me an ionic breeze air purifier to use, because he thinks the geckos and mealworms stink (i think he is smelling the mealworm gutload). i wanted to know if others use these, or have heard of any problems with them. I know they create ozone, and although the one i have complies with the UL867 standard (less than 50 parts per billion), which is the most current standard for ozone producing air purifiers, i just want to be 100% positive it is okay to use.

I wondered the same thing - but check again, I don't think they produce Ozone. I think they IONIZE the air, which is not the same thing as the ozone. I use the Oreck air filters (4) throughout my house and they really help alot (I have a flock of birds with tons of feather down!). They DO keep the air fresh and pull alot of yuck out of what we breathe (just like the commercial shows!). They just redid my roof (from Hurricane Wilma) and they even filtered out the awful hot tar smell! (No, I don't have a tar roof -- I have a nice tile roof, but tar goes down under the roofing paper, under the tile)
