i have 2 full grown leos.. and 2 babies.. well juveniles... they are 4-5 months old..

they all have been in the same cage for a month or 2 with no issues..

well... i went to feed today.. and i am missing a baby..

there is no lid on the cage so it is a slim chance he could have escaped...

so is it possible that he could have been eaten?

In the wild when a mother leo lays her eggs she leaves them to hatch and rasie on their own and if a gecko has a chance to get a baby gecko they will eat there own kind like babies, but they dont go after each other like 2 adults fight to eat other(expect for male thou) Alot of people keep adults , juvi, and babies in separte tanks to make sure one is eating more than the other and bullying and cannibalism

If the "baby" was truly almost the legnth of the mother, I have a hard time believing that an adult ate the baby. Babies should never be kept with adults, but it's a little too late for that now. First things first, separate the remaining baby.

The gecko could have gotten out. Leave out hides and keep your house warm. Check places like shoes, computer area (they like the warmth), closets...etc. Someone here wrote a thread on missing geckos...I'm pretty sure it was titled "Lost and Found" something or other.

I would think that if the gecko was eaten, there would be evidence of that. Then again, maybe not. Does one of the geckos look a lot fatter than it usually does?

Good luck with your hunt!

i housed some babies together before one day i had 7 and the next i had 6 one dissapeard a few days later i found a dead baby that was thrown up

on another occasion my juvi female egnigma ate a smaller juvi snow so to sum up your question yes they will eat their own kind

and yes now i have separate tubs for all geckos

I think it's more likely that it is either hiding or it escaped. What sort of substrate do you have? My babies crawl under paper, up into hides, etc. Check EVERYTHING. If it's not in the cage, I'd look around the room.

If they were truly close to the same size, the adult wouldn't have even attempted to eat the "baby"
