Arrrrrrgh!!!!! My babysitter cancled on me!!!

OH I am sooo pissed right now. I need to rant. I want to swear and kick and scream. My freaking Gecko sitter cancled on me!!!!!!!!!!!! I had it all lined up. I have had him over a few times to help, showed him what to do. Had hime even do it for a week three weeks ago. So I am leaving for 2 weeks on saturday and he decides to return my call today telling me that he can no longer do it. @#*()#Q()Q@#%&)Q@#$. I have a back up, My cousin but he doesent get back into town till Sunday and he lives 20 minutes away. He will do it but I have a pairing that should lay before he gets out here and it is just screwed up.


Now here is the part that Makes steam come out of my ears. MY WIFE is now like ....Your f:main_lipsrsealed: aninmals are such a pain in the :main_lipsrsealed: LA LA LA LALALA LALA LA.

ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.


I could just explode.

make sure the lay box is properly hydrated and the eggs will make it atleast 3days. I went roughly a week last year without a sitter and came home to eggs that had to have been there for 3 days atleast.

Wow that sucks... At least you have someone to watch after your geckos. I don't have anyone that would do it. So needless to say I don't go on vacation much. lol. Maybe a weekend trip, but not very often.

It will all work out. It is just a pain as I had already had it set up and no back up seeing as he lives right next door. We dont go on vacation much either because of the house and 2 dogs and geckos either. I am just real picky of who and how my animals are taken care of feeding an cleaning. Needless to say it looks like I will fly home from San Diego one in the middle for a day and take care of doing a major cleaning. no big deal it will be a vacation from my vacation if that makes any sense

UPDATE

I talked the guy who is staying at our house to take care of them. I feel a little relieved. Although he has never take care of them before he will be here everyday and will be able to check on eggs hatching and being laid. So I feel a little better.

I'm sure they'll be fine. We just went on vacation and had to have a friend watch the geckos. We're really lucky that Keith's old business partner from his reptile shop only lives 30 minutes away. He always does a great job taking care of them but we also leave a LOT of gas money! LOL Have a fun vacation!

Thank You. I am just a little particular about how I care for my animals and It sucks to have to rely on someone else, especially when they are not their pets. None the less I get to go on vacation and Pick up my new Giant Solid eyed raptor waiting for me in San Diego.

Same here, I was able to leave for two weeks to visit my family because Mike stayed here and watched all of the geckos, but Mike and I can no longer go on vacation together :main_lipsrsealed:

Sorry to hear about that Kevin, but I'm glad that everything is going to work out.. Vacation from a vacation, I know exactly what you mean!! Have a great time in San Diego, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I was picking up a Giant solid-eyed RAPTOR!!
