I am new to leopard geckos and have 5 baby leos given to me. I am unsure of their sex and they are about 2 1/2 months old and the biggest weighs 11g. They all are eating plenty an get along just fine. however i think i have a male in there with them...how old or heavy can the leos go before they need to be seperated to prevent early breeding?

Just check daily to see if you can sex them, google "leopard gecko sexing" when you find a male, seperate him. They should be fine up until maybe 4-6 months. Your best bet would be separating them all now, but I understand that would be expensive. I'm not an expert by any means, wait for a few more posts then decide :)

Early breeding isn't what you should be worrying about, get more than one sexually mature male in the same container and they will fight to the death.

Ya thats what i have been told...about the fighting but they all get along and use the same hide most of the time, even though they have 6 to choose from. I have planned on getting some sort of rack set up, but didnt know if i need it sooner than later. Because when i tryed to sex them i can see two bumps at the base of the tail but the v is not present. However basing it off of the bumps i think i may even have two. I am new to Leos so i just want to make sure im doing it right

The males will only fight when they reach sexually maturity, by then you will be able to sex them, if you have a half decent camera, you could take some pics of their underside and post them. I don't know what country you're in, but over here, most pet shops sex for free. Keep in mind that 2 1/2 months is considered young for sexing. I'm also new to leo's. Just I read a lot. :D
