Baby Canary Chondros on the Way?

Just wanted to post an update on the pair of Canary Chondros that we purchased last year. The male was called "Gold Standard" and the female was called "Buttercups" by the person who originally imported them in 2005. Kelli and I purchased the pair last year and I think that she is gravid now. There was a lot of copulation early in the year; she has ovulated and gone through her pre-ovulation shed; she is off feed; thermoregulating and I am now waiting on the pre-egglaying shed.

Boy are we excited! This would be a great boost for my ego to get a clutch of baby Canary Chondros later this year.

Anyway, here are some pics. Gold Standard is first and Buttercups is second. Let us know what you think.

Let The Countdown Begin!

Just wanted to update everyone on our Kofiau chondro progress.

Tonight she had her pre-lay shed, so now the countdown begins!

She should lay approximately on 2 August 2008.

I sure hope there is a nice batch of pearly whites.
