Bacterial infection!

My gecko has been to the vet a couple times now and has been diagnosed with a bacterial infection. I had never heard of a gecko getting such a problem, but I guess so. She is now very sick and has the infection in three of her legs and her lower jaw. I don't even know how she got it. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? Has anyone's gecko ever survived something like this?

Legs and lower jaw? Hmmm. Sounds suspicious of MBD. But yes, geckos can get different types of infections as well. Got pics? Pics would help us a lot.

Thats what the doctor thought at first but her legs kept getting bigger and he open up her back leg and white substance came out (it looked like a pus) her legs were full of it and still are. I haven't touched her jaw though. The pictures will come soon I promise and then you guys can help me out.

That doesn't sounds very good at all. I'm sorry. My little leo had a bacterial infection in his mouth and eye. With a little care and some antibiotics, he recovered very nicely. I assume the vet has her on a strong course of antibiotics?

My theory on how mine developed his infection is that a piece of a cricket scrapped or punctured his mouth while he was eating it. Everything has bacteria on it, and all you need for an infection is to get it started. You don't need a filthy cage or a large cut. Mine has not helped by the fact that I was not keeping the temperature as constant as I should have been.

not sure what she has now, but has anyone experienced gout with their leo? If anyone has how did you deal with it?
Thank you guys for your concerns and best wishes.
