Ok, like I said in another thread I just bought a Banana Blizzard off Kingsnake. I just found out from the seller that he got her from Prehistoric Pets in '05. So here's my question: Do you think PP would label a high yellow Blizzard a Banana or is it a good chance she's the true thing considering they founded the line?

I'm asking because I'd like to breed her to my Mack Snow BSB and make triple and quad hets. Triple being Bell/Blizzard/Patternless and quad being Bell/Blizzard/Patternless/SS. If I prove out my BSBs to be genetic then I'd get quintuple hets! LOL!

I can't say for sure, but looking at their page on blizzard leos (http://www.blizzardlizard.com/index1.asp?request=about) they do refer to banana blizzards as patternless x blizzard, so I would guess you have the real deal. I'm sure you'll find out soon enough with your breeding though ;)

Yup, the odds are 1/4 (odds of getting a super snow) x 1/4 (odds of getting an albino) x 1/4 (blizzard) x 1/4 (patternless) = 1/256 or 0.390625%. I like those odds :main_cool3: ;)

I have a feeling this is going to be a very long project if my goal is to hatch a SSBBBB. Even if I did hatch one it'd be another season before I knew it because I doubt you'd be able to tell the difference between SSBBB, SSBPA, and SSBBBB so I'd have to prove it out. It will be good enough for me just hatching all kinds of stuff from a single pairing.

Yes PP as you may already know made this yellow blizzard first and did christened it the banana blizzard.A time after people started getting yellow blizzard and started miss naming the banana blizzard but now the miss nameing of the yellow blizzard has happened so meny time that yellow blizzard has just been given the name banana blizzard and true banana blizzard the patternless/blizzard ;.

Hi yellow line bred blizzard = banana blizzard

patternless x blizzard [het patternless het blizzard = patternless/blizzard

this is hear/say, well hear/say from what i like to think is a very reliable source. but from what i was told, no one, including PP has made, AND proven a TRUE banana blizzard. patternless X blizzard. i could be wrong, but again, its pretty reliable hear/say.

Nevin, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the second pic under Blizzards/ Banana. You can see the Patternless hatchling pattern on some of them. You can see it here and faintly here as well.

They have no doubt been made and it's hard to believe they haven't been proven, but I can't back that up. Eh we'll see what happens next year.

oh wow. i just think that if it were proven someone would absolutly know about it. do you know what i mean? no one knows 100% for sure who proved it. i mean, there have been some clames. and those that you showed me, well those deff look like the read deal, and they are from gerrick(and i know he is pretty reliable, i cant see him making it up). well, again, i wish you all the luck,...and me as well, i was planing on doing this my self(not to the extent of your plans) but i was planning on trying to make some banana blizzards. ill have to send that to the person that told me they havent been made to see what they have to say. but ill tell you what, those pics are look like the real deal.
