Has anyone ever used this as bedding in the laybox?

Its zoo med Eco Earth....

I have a whole bag of this stuff and no vermic. Was wondering if this could be used?

Thanks

It can but make sure the geckos don't eat it or let crickets in there. If the geckos get a mouth full they could get impaction. Also it might be to thick for a gecko to dig in.

I always use coco fiber(sometimes marketed as Eco Earth) in the lay boxes, for pretty much any species I keep that needs a laybox, from cresteds to leos. It's perfectly safe. I actually don't consider vermiculite to be a safe laybox medium for leos, there's been evidence that leopard geckos like to eat vermiculite (you can tell because their poop is shiny, heh) for some reason known only to them.
