My last egg to hatch last year, my only egg to hatch while I was out of town and do not have an exact date or record of hatching, and an enigma/eclipse at that. She's shown absolutely no enigma symtoms other that being a picky eater early on. She's well past that now. She is also from the same parents as my rev stripe aptor poss giant.

Well she's from the raptor that I've been suspecting of being a nova, I was fairly certain she was, as a hatchling she had the intense spots. What is your opinion? Both of her eyes are solid too.

To me she looks like an insanely nice Eclipse, but not an Enigma. I haven't produced very many BEEs though so maybe some others can weigh in.

I have a couple on the comp at home, not available from work, but I will post them tomorrow. I have been on the fence with this one too. I'm hoping she proves out as that would prove her mother to be a nova as I'm suspecting.

She's a gorgeous eclipse, but I don't see the enigma either. No matter what, she's a beautiful gecko!

That is definitely a head-turning eclipse, I wouldn't be sure she's an enigma until we get those hatchling pictures...but a truly beautiful gecko you have there, you should be very proud of her.

I agree. Quite the looker as far as Eclipses go, but not entirely sure this one got the Enigma gene in it's blood. Either way, still deffinately a leo that i would love to have in my collection!

In the event you don't want it now because it may not be an Enigma and doesn't "fit the plans" anymore, PM me and i can give you address if you need someone to take it off your hands for ya! lol

Thanks for all the compliments on her. I'm happy either way, I've felt like it was hard to tell if she had enigma in her myself. Her mother was a rescue that was laying eggs in the store, she laid 5 more sets of eggs after I bought her. Honestly I didn't think she would make it. Anyways she's doing great now and this is one of 3 hatchlings that hatched from what she had laid. She was the last and a suprise at that as I thought the egg had molded and I'd went out of town expecting to have to throw it out when I got back. Then I found her. I'll post hatchling pics later tonight. Looking back at them now I don't think she's enigma either.

I can't find any hatchling pics earlier than october. My camera broke shortly after she hatched but I'm sure I have at least 1 pic somewhere. I'll look some more though...

5 sets of eggs (10, i assume), and only 3 of those hatched? A 30% hatch rate aint too good... Did all the eggs get mold? Sounds like your humidity might have been too high...

oh no, I only lost 2 eggs last year to mold and I think that was due to two days left in the hide box I didn't see. There were alot of infertile eggs from her mother due to her being near dead.

I found her mother at a ******** while picking up some wax worms, she's a snake eyed raptor (suspected nova) that was in with about 6 other females and one big giant hypo male. She was skin and bones. I tried to get the store to give her to me due to her poor condition and since I really didn't expect her to live. The mngr said he had bred himself before and was sure she'd be ok, I've got pics I don't even want to post she was so skinny. Long story short, I bought her for the 99.99 they had her priced at and brought her home to try to save her. She then laid 5 more clutches( I was told she had laid 3-4 already) out of those eggs only 3 hatched. The rest were just infertile and never hatched.
This off season she bounced back to a top weight just under 90 grams, she bred with the super snow in my other post. She's doing great now and is still holding weight above 75 grams and 3 clutches have already been laid. She's my rescue success story.

This is her mother as of october 09'

she is also the mother of my rev stripe aptor giant, I know the father was a giant for sure, I've always wondered about the mom though. Her tail is incredibly long but with her being in bad condition when I got her I don't know her true max weight. Her head is alot bigger than the other too.
