Im a little lost on this? Do you have to burmate them to get them to mate? Ive read it can be unsafe...i dont wanna risk my geckos lives over that... if so and its safe how low should the temps get? how long should i leave them be like this? i know the seasons done but i wanna know before hand. When should the burmation start? and what are good weights? All mine are 55+ grams easy.

Geckos will breed perfectly fine without ever having been brumated. Males will hop on anything with a set of ovaries at any time of the year, whether they've had a cooldown season or not. Females will only accept when they're ovulating.

If you have females of age, they should begin to ovulate sometime around early February. Most of us prefer to wait until females are over 50g so as long as you know the specific weights of your females and they are definitely over, they should have no problem.

You may find, even without brumating your leopard geckos that some of them get less active and eat less in the winter anyway, but either way, they don't need any heat lowering and they'll be OK.
