What are a good feeder roach, if any, to colonize for someone who is absolutely terrified of roaches, like me. They can't have sticky feet, they can't fly and they can't be bigger than 1". If they meet those criteria I think I can handle having them lol.

Cant be bigger than 1"?!?!?! I would suggest trying dubia but they get bigger. I have fumigata which are similar to dubia but also get a little bit bigger than 1" Hmmm Lobster roaches and lateralis are smaller but have a lot of cons!

dubia, they don't climb, males have been recorded to fly an inch high but rarely, breed within 2-3 months if kept hot and low maintenance.

*shudders* Do they get that big??? lol

LMAO!!! Omg I can't believe I said that..

Noo you can feed the male dubias to adult Leos and the nymphs. I've heard of ppl. feeding females but it's pretty pointless if your building a colony and they're pretty round and big.

Go with the Dubias. I was alittle worried about having them at first too, but they are really great as a feeder. No smell, no climbing, no flying, and the geckos/beardeds love them. You will really get used to them given a little time.
