Large Eggs

I've noticed that our Giant eggs are much larger than Normal eggs but we've had plenty of eggs that were huge and only had normal sized babies in them. Sometimes eggs have thinner shells and absorb a lot of water which causes them to swell to enormous sizes.

Yes, that was it. I had never seen one do that.

It seemed as though it was a ball or balloon getting pumped up. Moisture in this case. It did go a long time before hatch (72 days)since I do females outside the incubator. I would have thought she would have had plenty of time to use up the yoke though. Lots and lots of real clear liquid was there too...................................Thanks. Take care. HJ

Haha, If it's bigger than a supergiant you could call it a Colossal Giant. I hope that HUGE egg turns out for you.

I cannot match it but I can come close. Unfortunatly I cannot post pictures for whatever reason. But I have a 6 month old SHTCT-B that just gave me a fertile 1-1/4 inch egg...She's about 44 grams on a fat day...and we're on 43 days of incubation so far...
