Im well aware this is one of the most hated and wanted project in leopard geckos. You either believe in the pearls or you don't, but I found it to be a very exciting project to work with. We got our group from Paul Allen in the beginning of the year. Thus far it seems recessive but we only hatched a few thus far. The two pictured below I and Paul believe they are pearls. One of the kickers in identifying the babies is the smoke/black on the white bands of the tail, and dark dots on the body. We will update you on these as they grow. Enjoy!

I love the idea of the black pearl. It seems though it would have to take a few years or more of line breeding to start to actually get noticeable black geckos with out much pattern or spotting.

The "black pearls" in Sasobek's video looked like super hypos that are just darker in contrast and others looked like washed out normals or mack snows.

Again don't get me wrong the idea is awesome! And to produce solid black geckos would be sweet.

We just posted a video on our youtube channel showing every animal in the project, so make sure to check it out to see them all.

As far as selling, we want to first see what pops out and go from there.

I've always liked the look of the Black Pearls. From these pics, it looks like a very interesting and fun project to be doing, congratulations Pat!
