Matt Matt Baronak from SaSobeck's World of Reptiles has some the he got some from Paul Allen's collection when he retired from the hobby. He said in a video that was put on YouTube yesterday that he would be doing a video on the Black Pearl in the near future.

I think this is probably just the natural path of genetics that really wasn't going anywhere. They just disappear without any explanation. Well, that would be my guess anyways. I would like to see it work out and have a almost all black gecko but not sure it will develop out of that line. In my eyes, they look like they have potential in the hatchling stage but get quite ugly once they develop more into adulthood.
