I got a albino blizzard enigma het eclipse a while back and to be me it looks like a really yellow albino blizzard with what looks like regular albino eyes. Maybe im just blind on the eye part but the only reason i know the guy i have is an enigma is because he sometimes spins when stressed out. Now heres my question is there any good way to know if you got a blizzard or albino blizzard enigma? Right now im really debating on whether or not i should spend the money to get a diablo blanco or even a blizzard eclipse 50% het albino for future breeding as i feel that there all going to look so much alike it will be nearly impossible to tell them apart.

If you got any opinions or thoughts on this put it out there

thanks,
Bryan

well i do not know what you paid and what diablo blancos are going for but that would depend on you. as far as ewhat you described in the gecko it seems to sound right for the genetics. (except i do not know how the eyes are on those. when the gecko was born it might have had more markers of an enigmas. do you have photos?

Tough call with the Enigma in there, (cause the eyes are the most fool proof tell) but I'd guess BBEnigma. I thought the BlizzardEnigma (non-albino) eyes were extra dark? I would say take your time if you have even a slight doubt...these animals are only going to get cheaper...

Personally, I think all these white geckos with red eyes are going to make a mess worse than breeding 2 different albino types would've...especially a few years from now when we have 10+ different (genetically) animals that all look the same, and their prices drop into the range of the average leo lover. We will have an insane mess on our hands if all this isn't done methodically.

Blizzards were the first geckos i had 1-blazzing blizzard and 1-"midnight blizzard" as i call her! (both females). by this time i had breed them to my Tang.Enigma het. raptor, and never have seen a difference in the neonates that i have produce!!!! they should be like 16 hatchlings total at this time and i never seen neither -red eyes or differences in colors i cant realy se the difference betwen both hatchlings both females just produce very similar 50% very nice enigmas and 50% normals het Blazzing Blizzard or Midnite Blizzard this is realy to produce nice enigmas!!! (in my case)

this Blizzard gets to a very dark purple!!!

Interesting fact: Both blizzard are housed together and this have influence their colour!!! dont realy know why! but the midnight is not as dark as she can get!!! wen they are together and the blazzing just get a bit darker.....

hatchlings of blizzards: in the (top) is the Blazzing neonate and the other is the midnight hatchling...

they already are as well as all these orange geckos and so on and so fourth. everything looks so much alike and so many people breeding these the prices are already going down (and have been going down) and will continue to the point where some of the what used to be rarer morphs will be $20 gecckos.

Thats why i feel bad for all those people who spent about 3,000 when the dreamsicles first came out and now there in the 550-750 range lately.

He was suppose to be a she and when i got him that wasnt the case. I was going to pair it with my SS eclipse next year but thats not the case anymore as there both males. I am planning on breeding him to 3 interesting females im raising so i can get a variety of things and hets as well to get a better idea of if he is or isnt an enigma. I think he is as he does spin sometimes when stressed out but the eyes to me look like it may have a tint of light yellow (i think it looks normal though).

good info

thanks,
