JMG or Jeff Sr and Jeff Jr. are the Originator's of the Blood Hypo it is their " Line". They have several excellent animals up for sale right now! But they go quick! They just started releasing them last year I believe, so the are pretty new to the market.

They are an excellent example of what come from good line breeding.

I too hope have some in the collection soon!

They are definitly awesome looking but to me they are just another form of the Tangerine Tornados or Extreme Tangerine. They all look similar just differant names because from differant breeders. I'm sure they both got what they have from line breeding nice SHTCT just from differant lineages. Everyone wants to come up with a new morph and what to be able to name it something new. There are some tangerine tornadoes that look almost similar. Don't get me wrong they are nice and i'm sure they worked hard to get where they are just to me they are just an intense SHTCT like the tornado. Once they get it all red then to me they can call it a blood red hypo or what ever they want it to be. Its just has a little more red and as they say you won't find one closer to blood red but that doesn't mean to me it is what it could be. If i am going to pay 600-1,000 dollars for a gecko then i am going to get something more special than a redish SHTCT.

There are exceptional lines of Tangs out there. But non of them display as much red as the Blood hypos. I have seen some of the best from the well known breeders and there is a Difference. JMG Regular Tang Line is a Nice as Anyones out there, just look at what they produce.

This is a very new line a couple of years old if that and just starting out. And they are already producing Animals as nice a Tornados which have been around since at least 2001. Thats saying something. Wait until you see what they do with it and other's that work with the line. When there is all Red Leos you will be singing a different tune.

When the First exceptional tangs came out they ran that much if not more and they were no where near the Quality of Tangs today. Some still do cost that much if not more.

The Boys up in NY have a red project they are working in as well so we shall see more red projects.

I personally would like to see an all red leo! I understand there are many line bred SHTCT's out there but I just wanted to work with these because they are rare and I want to bring some new bloodlines into my collection that many people don't have yet. I know they are expensive, believe me I am gonna have to eat a lot of pasta this month :) but I just couldn't resist these two. I can't wait to see how it reacts with the Enigma trait..... maybe all red heads!

New projects cost some money, but trust me it worths, here on Mexico there's not a lot of morphs, like Tornados, Blood Hypos, Phantom and others, I want to bring more new morphs so people know them, and quality animals of course, in Mexico the Super Hypo is one of the more common morphs available, but bringing more orange tangs, like Tornados or JMG line is very different of what people think of a Super Hypo.

For me the Blood Hypo is a very interesting line, you can notice the difference on a Blood Hypo and a Tang, you see that real red color on some parts of the gecko body, maybe with some line breeding and crossing with other lines like Tornado, JMG etc, can make some pretty cool red geckos :) It's just matter of time, but trust me they will be some red geckos in a few years..

My blood hypo from JMG is way more red than any of my tangerines. They are beautiful in person.

I haven't been able to accurately get her colors, but this is Zarabeth. She's darker/more red in person. I'm going to play around for the next few days and hopefully I can get a better pic of her to post.
