What makes a blood, a blood? I've seen so many 'bloods' that are less orange than my regular Tangerine hatchlings. I mean I've seen some nice looking bloods with nice almost dark orange colouration. But I've got the same and they're just regular tangs.

I have been noticing as well that there are some being called such and not really showing the visuals that really make a blood. What you are seeing may be more like blood crosses and not really bloods. Just because a gecko comes from a blood doesn't make it such. For an example, if you breed a SHTCT X SHTCT, your not always going to get a SHTCT. It is the same for bloods.

Yep people are taking blood and blood crosses and crossing to other stuff and labeling them as bloods. Saying blood cross is fine if it is a pure blood x whatever but any crosses after that should not be labeled as a blood cross, IMO.

Blood is not a look of a gecko...its the genetics. Now a days its a marketing ploy and means for getting some extra cash on top of a gecko worth half as much. I say it all the time...you get what you pay for and QUALITY IS EVERYTHING.
