I voted as just a hobby. All of my leos have been purchased strictly for looks and/morphs. Altogether, I have had at least 30 geckos come my way and have only sold 6. I don't consider this being a negative at all since my main purpose for having these little buggers are as pets.

I really didn't figure many people made much at all. I figured we were all in it for the animals and not the money. I was just curious.

I tattoo during the day. The gecko's are one of my passions, though I don't see making any money realistically. Breaking even is my only goal.

this is one hell of an addiction.

Just a hobby I love to do
I`m sorry, I did not mean to say that to anyone in particular. It was more of a recommendation to anyone thinking they will be able to make much of an income breeding these guys. And yes I did actually quit a job at one time, to do this.:main_rolleyes: So, I have earned the right to give that advice!:main_laugh:

Since my return to reptiles, I have been into this for five years, and have had three breeding seasons. I still have probably not "made" much of anything, and have maybe broke even. I am what you call a "starving gecko-artist" perhaps? LOL

i'm already happy if I can cover about 75% of the expenses in food for the geckos. (electricity bill , housing, buying new animals,... not included)

Very much in the red... Spent more money than I have.. Ask my credit card lenders. Ha.

It's purely fun and a hobby for me. :-D
