Breeding time for males

I know females have to ovulate, but do males have to be at a certian point in the season? Or will males just do it whenever a female is near? I'm just curious.

I'm not positive, but from what I can tell with my own male, i'm pretty sure he could quite possibly go all day, every day Sometimes he does naughty things to the calcium dish. LOL. As long as a female is around it doesn't seem like they really "cycle" like females do.

im not sure about that but i heard in one of the websites that breeding in male is mostly active in spring
