Hello all - Sorry I haven't been around much to post lately but now that summer is coming to an end I'll have a bit more time for the forum. I've been doing quick "drop ins" just to see all the amazing geckos you all have been hatching...wow...it pretty exciting. I've been busy just keeping up with the geckos once again this summer...but I'm pleased to say that I've made some good progress on a few projects. Our tangerine Bell project has finally advanced to the stage where I feel comfortable deeming it as our "line" of tangerine Bells...or "Bright line Bells". I hope this won't annoy any fellow breeders out there
. This is a project I've been quietly working on for 5 - 6 years...ever since I got my first trio of Bell albinos. Last season I finally hatched a few hets that I thought might help produce the distinctive look I was hoping for. This season, a few of their offspring have exceeded my hopes...
Here's my main "Bright Bell" male growing up to further the project in 09:
at 2.5 months (outside picture)
taken last night (almost 4 months old...using flash)
For comparison...the lighter tangerine Bell is what I would consider a nice tangerine Bell albino...until I saw the progress with Bright line project.
I can't wait to further the project in the next few months. A few of our Tangerine Bell Enigmas should produce some great results when crossed with this line...I hope!
Thanks for looking!
