ok, I'm thinkin about getting one of these guys, I think they're just adorable....but I need to find out about them first...anyone here keep them? if so, if you have good sites for them, caresheets, etc. I'd love ya for it LOL

I dont know a lot about them but my freind kept them in the past, they require ALOT of room and they stress very easy. I have heard many times that they dont make good captives.

They're fast! That's about all I know about them.

if they need tons of space then they're not going to be an ideal new project...or even a pet for that matter LOL, space is something I'm lacking until all the remodeling is done. Although if I got another 55 gallon and the stand and put it in the hall by the girls room...that might work. But that's even further down the line.

HMMMM who's got a good idea for a project lizard? I can't have something that requires tons of space or can't handle 2 kids staring at it LOL

What about a blue tounge skink or bearded dragon, either would be fine 55 gallon and are generally great with handling.

Yea a blue tongued skink would be good, plenty hardy and friendly. A giant day gecko or day gecko? House gecko? Anole? Golden Gecko? One Stripe Gecko? Uromastyx?

I got the basilisk...and I couldn't be happier, it's sooo adorable!!! Here's a pic of the temporary setup till I get it's big one done, I'm gonna make one myself, I think 3' long x 2' deep x 3' high

Any suggestions on the setup would be nice!

Oh and I am gettin a UVB as well, I have to wait for my next shipment to come in though

I'll make the room....LOL I guess that Rob's gonna start the last of the renovations in 2 months or sooner. Should only take a month at most since all the demo work is already done. I've got a good area that would fit a large display tank in the living room, but I think he'd kill me unless I move the leo tank...*sigh*
