Brown leopard gecko

So my friend a fellow breeder contacted me today he said he was offered a light and dark leopard gecko in a trade. I figured it as an aft till he explained what it looked like. It has a light stripe down its back with dark spots beside it with no other spots on its body but the head. It has dark brown bands and a.white and brown tail... Im usually good with morphs but cant peg this guy. Ill add pix when I get them but any ideas?

Based on the look of the toes, some tips missing, this gecko probably hasn't been in the best of hands. Poor conditions can affect the coloration of a gecko. I'd say once you get the gecko on heat and eating, he will lighten up. After that being said, he very well could be a hypo tangerine or maybe a hypo snow. Some snows will tend to stay dark til they hit 30 grams. Do you know how old the gecko is?

While I agree with the rest of your statement, this part I have to disagree on. I have a male "midnight blizzard" that has the absolute worst time shedding. He is actually on track to lose a toe now, and there is nothing we could do about it. We've done baths, increased humidity in the tank when shedding, removed old stuck sheds (picked him up as an adult), but all in all, he is just going to lose the tip of the toe. Sometimes it just works out that way.

he said the gecko is about 4 and has been a breeder. Now I dont know the breeder but I would think be.would know how to take care of his animals. He went ahead and got the gecko and broght it to me it is a bit skinny and toes are missing but with the line down his back and the selective spotting I dont Think its either but im going to get him faf and happy and see.
