Building a viv

I have 2 crested geckos that have been living together for about 4 or 5 years now and figured it would be fun to upgrade their enclosure. I have an 18x18x24 exo tera and want to do a full custom build on it. Problem is, I have never done a terrarium build before, and so I need some info on how to go about all of this. The geckos are living in the terrarium I want to transform, so could I transfer them to a temporary home for the month or so that I build the terrarium and it acclimates? If so, what kind of home would be good to transfer them to? I have a list of the things I need to get to build it and have done enough research on how to do so, I was just wondering about my geckos being safe if I transferred them for a while. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I think they'd be fine. Consider getting two 12x12x18 exo-terras (check craigslist). It's a bit small for a crestie, but for a month it should be fine.

Would a 10 gallon fish aquarium suffice for a temporary home? I would like to do the same thing :) Her current enviro is SO SAD!!

If the crested gecko is an adult, a 10 gallon is kind of small and not so high. See if you can get a 20 gallon high which will be 18" high and much better for her.
