bulge in throat?

what causes the throat to bulge? my leopard gecko isn't coughing so it doesn't seem like a respiratory infection, but we did just get him about a week ago and he just finished his first shed with us this morning. earlier he had fast breathing and it since then calmed down!

If you watch a gecko breathe, you'll see that you can notice the breathing with the throat growing and shrinking. I would imagine that this is just part of the gecko's regular breathing.
