Someone said earlier that it was bad? I keep a dish of it in my tank all the time.

Many people keep a dish of calcium without D3 in the tank and dust the feeders with calcium with D3.

Dusting the feeders with calcium and D3 (and not leaving calcium in the cage)fits in with at least one of the several supplementation schedules that experienced breeders on this forum seem to have, so I'd say go for it.

Some experienced people here on the forum say every feeding. Some say once a month. Both sides feel that they have been doing things for a long time and they have been successful. When I was using calcium and vitamins separately I was alternating each feeding with calcium dusting and vitamin dusting.

Could I keep a bowl of calcium with D3 in there and not dust the feeders? Picky here refuses to eat dusted food... I'd like to tell you that I've seen her lick the calcium, but I haven't, so I'm not sure she's getting enough. I'm guessing she just does it when I'm not around.

Dont worry though. It takes years for D3 to build up in their systems. Just correct this.
