Can i use this for substrate?

Ok i want to know if this thing is like dangerous or they can chew on it, someone have try this? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Foam-Sheets-Basic-Colors-12-Pack/17404376 i did go to walmart today to buy my 10 gallon tank for my leopard gecko and i saw this i touch it and it was soft and i tried to rip it (not like crazy) but it didnt rip so im thinking it can be good but i really dont know ty guys

I've used it before. It gets gross when they poop on it and I found that the crickets and superworms chewed it up.

Can you wash it anyway? and its healthy for the gecko? i think im going to try that

It's porous, so I don't think it would wash well...but it's so inexpensive that I don't see the harm in usng it at least temporarily.
