i found this in her cage this morning. is it poop?! its white, squishy and soft. and HUGE. im sure it wasnt there before i went to sleep. there's no feeds in her tank either. if thats poop, is it normal? ive seen her old poop before. they look normal. small and whitish n crumbles apart. but this one. looks like its from outer space!!!

no waxworms in her diet :S only crickets the past week. regurgitated shed sounds possible. because i don believe that thing came out of her a*s. its squishy and doesnt crumble apart. and it looks like its "weaved". looks alittle like cotton mesh as well. has any encountered this before? or am i the only weird one?

Looks a lot like a waxworm cocoon to me, but if you don't feed them then it obviously can't be. Pick it apart and see, if it looks like skin you have your answer.

omg cocoon. i threw it away right after i picked it up because i was so grossed out. and i was afraid something might crawl out of that "poop". should i be worried or anything? do you guys get random insects in your tank?

Is she in contact with paper towel at all? Maybe in a moist hide that she could have ingested? I didn't see paper towel, though, in your pics. I'd have to agree it's probably regurgitated shed. Good news... it's out! lol :main_laugh:

Does that happen often where they can't pass their sheds so they regurg them? Have you ever seen a leo develop an impaction from a shed that won't pass?

Regurgitated shed bundles can sometimes indicate a health problem. Regurgitated shed bundles are often a sign of Cryptosporidium.

Cryptosporidium

sounds like what my gecko is going through. she stopped eating for a month. with muscus in her poop. or rather she pooped mucus. i brought her back to the seller. and after a few weeks, he told me that she's starting to eat gradually. imma bring her back home after disinfecting her tank. feed her some REPTAID and hope she's gonna live through this.

If you take a poop sample to the vet and ask for a fecal(ask specifically for them to test for Cryptosporidium, it's a seperate test from general parasite screening, though I would have that done too) they can tell you for sure if she has it or not. If she does, it's not going to be easy. Leos with Crypto never lose it, and can potentially die from it at any time. If you have any other animals, be sure to keep her seperately(seperate room) and clean/feed her last and disinfect everything on a daily basis. Good luck.
