Chomper is a Digger

I have since removed that red light, this video was made like 3-4 days ago. Waiting on my next paycheck to get a CHE bulb instead.

Chomper has been very much refusing to come out of his humid hide for multiple days on end it seems, even around feeding time (10-10:30 PM seems like the time he's most active for me).

He's a juvenile Leo, about 4.5 months old roughly.

It looks like he's having a blast! You may not need a light or a CHE. Check air temps. It can get too hot for them.

We keep the AC at 74 during the day, and 67 at night. According to the thermometer I have just above the substrate on the cool side, it's averaging 66-70.

This is in the Summer, in the Winter it will get colder.

Others may differ, but I feel that 66-70 on the cool side in the air is fine. Too much heat will dehydrate the gecko. They always have the option of being on the hot side, and if they really want to be warm, the air inside the hot side hide is quite warm because of all the trapped heat.
