Clingfilm?

Hello, I've been preparing a terrarium to get two mourning geckos soon (hopefully!), but the lid of the terrarium doesn't cover the whole top. We used clingfilm to cover the gap, but now I'm wondering whether it could potentially harm the geckos, and if so, is there anything I can do to make it better?

I'd worry more that the gecko would make a hole in it and escape. I think the best thing to do, especially for arboreal geckos, is to get or make a top that fits, using solid materials.
