I have seen this with a few people's geckos on one side and both sides of the head. Check your floor temperatures on the hottest spot of the gecko's enclosure. A trip to the vet is in order, but I do know it is permanent and not much can be done about it.

Not trying to be rude or anything but that tub is disgusting, bloody substrate feeders running around and whats up with that mite in the corner...all that cant be helping his cause.

That is bad. I have to agree, the conditions seem less then sanitary in the first place, the mites and crixs say that much. The blood, is that come from the vent?(anus)

....WHAT HAPPENED. Honestly, as a vet student, i would really like some more info on this. I asked my bio teach and my vet teach today and both of them asked if it wasnt a type of cancer(cant remember the specific name). Do geckos get cancer?
