Ok how about this one? clutch mate to the hatchling I posted about a couple days ago. This one looks very similar, just a very pastel yellow instead of white. Definitely 2014-05-23 22.39.18.jpg eclipse-2 snake eyes, but I am wondering if this could be Mack snow also?

When talking about Leopard Gecko genetics, you have a basic punnett square thing going. You have dominate and recessive genes. Some of the dominate traits will be what you see, but you end up with a carrier of other traits. Depending on what you breed that to will determine what your hatchlings will look like. So this hatchling may have snow, eclipse, white and yellow, etc genetics, but I am seeing a reverse stripe, maybe I see a little orange in the tail, and certainly the snake eye thing! Really gorgeous baby btw!!

Those are good points, but the question is whether it's a snow or not and since snow is co-dominant, it either is or isn't . In my opinion it looks a bit too yellow to be a snow, at least in the picture.

That's what I have been thinking too Aliza, too yellow. My hesitation is that the mom who I now believe to be snow is very yellow? Very confusing!

The mom being a snow and being yellow isn't an issue. Most snows yellow up as they mature to the point where there's no way to know whether or not they're snows without having seen it as a hatching or breeding it to a non-snow and producing snows. It's really a question of whether the hatchling looks like a snow or not. As you may have seen from your other thread (where I'll be posting tonight), some people think that Mack snow eclipses are yellower at hatching. I'm not so sure about this and will be posting updated photos of my eclipse that I think is not a Mack snow.

The thing with mack eclipse is that the eclipse gene messes with patterns and looks of animals. Often times they just don't have the typical mack look to them. Makes it much harder to id once the eclipse gene is mixed in.

Based on the comments about eclipse messing with the "white-ness" of baby snows I might guess that it will be tough to tell without test breeding which she is for sure. Gorgeous little baby though!
