Yes, because that is one of the things that is part of/defines, the morph.:) Aberrant or "Jungle" patterns I mean. That is how they were originally marketed. They just seem to breed true, and stay the way they are. But...
I have not hatched anything from breeding "het" Stripe, or Reverse Stripe Macks together yet.
I think that is going to change!

You know what else I noticed??? That squared off, spotty neck pattern on the outcrosses... They all seem to have it to some extent... Even the super hypos...

I am also starting to see that it is real tough to get the head spots off... But I think the new one I hatched will come very close to being bald... I am also starting to wonder if the SS form can be super hypo or not...

I got this girl, two week old, hatch from two mack snow ghost, one of them got the same pattern, the mother, but the father is more like a super hypo.

It's all there, the cross, the spot and the abberant tailband at the end...I can't explain it, just realize your right.

But I kind of like this pattern ;)'

out of my 9 macks only one has a perfectly banded tail, but it may be due to the jungle gene hidden in there

but it might just be because the Macks are "het" for the Super Snow pattern, etc.

I was thinking the same thing. The het form is a mix of the parents' phenotypes in incomplete dominants. It would be normal that the het had an intermediate phenotype not only of color but also pattern. If blending white with yellow gives you pale yellow, it wouldn't be strange that stripes with bands gave you some random aberrancy.

Sandra you should change your user title to Morph Specialist! You're on top of your game! :main_thumbsup:
Hahaha, thanks! What I said it's only a supposition, though, and it's as valid as anything said before in this thread.

I will save that 'morph specialist' title for when I hatch some geckos. Surprisingly I have never seen anything of what I say happening in person, and well, what would be of the theory without the practice :p

Yeah I suppose, but you sure know your stuff and what you said about the Super Snows makes the most sense to me of any theory I've ever heard.

Yep, you just explained it much better Sandy.:) I had been thinking this for sometime, it is just another "visual" indicator type of thing like the color. Thats why I was saying the regular "Aberrant" Leopards are "het" Jungle, and that is their "indicator".

No Michael!! But the clutchmate hasn't hatched yet, and WCS gave me another clutch on 3/5 so I still have a chance with her. But I did pair up the really light Bell Hybino with the Snow het Bell male....so I should get a Snow Bell from that pair for sure!!!

Mack het albino X albino gave me 2 normals, ruining my 10/11 record down to 10/13.... And i also notice that on all of mine that last tail band is diagonal

Here's my 66% het bell from the same pairing. Tip of tail is like that too, and every time she shed's her yellow fades even more and more. Notice the last yellow band near her tail, it's real light.
