Hello, my name is Tim and I’m new to the forum as well as the reptile world. I wanna pick up a leopard gecko today but I just don’t know whether or not my tank would be too big. I have a 29 gallon. I’m also not 100% on the supplies needed for the setup. Also, would the heating pad need to be on all the time? Its
Not a problem and probably an obvious answer but again... newbie here.

Welcome to the forum and the world of reptiles. A 29 gallon tank is perfect. The under tank heater does need to be on 24/7. The gecko will move to another part of the tank if it feels too hot there. If you google "leopard gecko care" you'll find a bunch of care sheets. Read several of them and you'll see that a lot of the information is the same and some information differs or even contradicts. Ask on the forums here about the things that seem to contradict and we'll be happy to help.
