I was asked by someone what offspring they would get by breeding a Creamsicle male and Amelanistic female. I'm not that knowledgeable on cornsnake genetics, so I didn't want to give him a 100% answer. What offspring would he get?

I have never bred that morph before but from what I remember a creamsicle is a Amel corn snake and emory rat snake = creamsicle. Now with that being said the offspring would be Amel 100% het. cream sickle or emory however you want to look at it.

A Creamsicle is a Corn Snake X Emoryi Rat Snake (hybrid) that is also homo for Amel.

So crossing a Cream to an Amel will give you more Creamsicles. A Corn Snake can not be het. for Creamsicle.

Most people who work with Corn snakes use the term Creamsicle just to show that it has emoryi blood. But some people only consider the creamy yellow ones true Creamsicles.

What ever definition you use be sure to label all babies as hybrids.
