Melanie found a "male" leo on craigslist today for $50. It came with the entire setup (two hides, a stick, a climbing stone, a bubble dish, 40g breeder with screen and a heat lamp). The leo looked healthy in the photo; nice fat tail and all the toes.

It had gravel and co-co fiber for substrate. All and all the viv looked horrible. After seeing that, we decided we had to have it...

This is what it looked like when we first got it home. Yes, I transported the leo in the tank, it was only a few miles.

From the debris on the top of the cage, it looked like it was kept outside. Also, there was no UTH, only a heat lamp for heat...

After a thorough cleaning and disinfecting:

And why you never want to let your heat lamp get to hot...

While I have the leo in QT, there will be paper towel in the bottom. I will be replacing that with tile and replacing the cracked glass panel after QT is over.

And now for the big girl herself (no pores or tail bulge):

Like I said, she looks healthy and getting ready for a shed. According to the previous owner, she is 5 or 6. Sadly, the only food she has been getting are pinkies.

Anyways, there is our newest addition.

BTW, what morph does she look to be? I think normal, but I'm not an expert.

Glad she is with somebody willing to take proper care of her. Good luck getting her off the pinkies. Keep us updated.

She spend most of the night in the humid hide and this morning, she was showing those fresh shed bright colors. I am thinking that the heat lamp messed up her day/night cycle because she is still up and running around.

BTW, she weighed 46 grams last night.

I gave her 10 crickets this morning (dusted with multi-vitamin) and she ate 7 before crawling into her hot hide. She also ate nearly all the calcium I put out for her.

Until I get paid, I just have a UTH for a 10g and a 60w red bulb to keep her warm. I really wasn't expecting to get another, so I wasn't prepared.

It would look like I can finally justify building a rack. After my doctors appointment, I will be going by the orange box to price supplies. I am thinking 4'6" wide, 6'6" tall and 16" deep. This should give me three load bearing shelve along with the top shelf for supplies.

She's lucky to have found someone who will care for her properly. Grats on you're find and good luck with her.

I know I usually check out craigslist occasionally for my area, and have not come across any. Or the ones I do, never respond back.

I'm glad I found her too.

There is another here in town that I would love to adopt, but I don't have the room...

According to the ad, it is a Tremper Albino. It looks to still be a juvie, pencil thin tail and kept on sand.
