"creak" sound?

My gecko is about a year old, and from last shedding she is extremely tired and won't eat very much. She does eat a tiny bit so I wasn't worried so much, thinking she will be better when she's not stressed. However, since a week ago, after she eats something, she twists (or bents) her body if she wants to swallow the food. Then I heard creaking sound from her body while "twisting", maybe from her bones (I kinda relate this to me when I crack my backbone once a while). She's been getting a little skinny (while her tail is still fat), and now I'm just terrified. Is it digestion problem? What is that sound? I'll be glad to be helped. Thanks.:(

is it really a squeeky kind of crack? Like a noisy shopping cart? Or is it more of a crunching sound? The first thing that popped into my mind is that you might be hearing the food being crushed.

Bending her body is her natural way of pushing down the food item. That is nothing to be worried about. The creeking sound.....maybe sounds like you are hearing her teeth crushing the food item or maybe her teeth grinding against each other as she is eating. Neither of which is something to be worried about.

It's morely a cracking sound, I guess... Thin bones cracking. I'm still worried about that one. And thank you, GeckoJunkie! But I never heard that noise before when she was all healthy and stuff-and I hear it every time I feed her these days.:(

What are you using for supplements for her and how often?

Have you changed anything major in her environment lately?

What are the temps in the tank?

Hope that she perks up soon
