They are a combination of Tangerine and Snow. How many generations it takes to make them is open for discussion. It takes time to refine any line of geckos. JMG gets credit for creating the Cremesicles. Check their site to see the latest Cremesicles. I believe they are in their fifth generation and they have improved greatly over time.
My creamsicle attempt last season did not go well. I bred a SHTCT with my super snow and just about all the babies were hypo or superhypo and kind of an ugly mustard color. I kept the best one, who was super hypo with a pleasant yellow/orange color and then spend awhile trying to decide who to breed her with: back to the super snow to try again for orange and white bands, to my PRS to get a more orange color, or to my Tremper albino to see if the Macks had a creamsicle look and also get tremper hets. I finally decided to breed her to the tremper and the first 4 hatchlings are all snows (pictures on a different thread soon). Oddly, my closest to creamsicle looking babies were from my super snow male and my Mack snow fasciolatus cross.
I think my sister and I decided that this is what we're gonna try for for the next few seasons. We're going to get another snow and breed her to my new SH, and breed Felix (Mack Snow) to my SHTCT (Spike).
I was going to try for some Super Snows but those seem a lot easier than Cremesicles and challenges are...well challenging haha
So I figure with two pairings, I have a better chance than with one. It's hit or miss, really, from my understanding. I'll start next season and hopefully in a few years we can have a decent Cremesicle or two.
I'm just glad I know a lot of people who are itching for some hatchlings. Seems like there'll be a lot I won't be able to use.
