Looks good except he's going to need a LOT more plant cover and maybe some more vines up higher to climb on. Cresties are generally more comfortable and will eat better if they have lots of places to hide. :)

I agree your going to need fill all that space up. Are you looking to get an adult or a baby? I found a cheap bendable vine at a local pet shop. I used suction cups I found at the hardware store to twist/bend it from top to bottom and across the tank. Get at least 3-4 hanging plants. Ledge feeding station is a must in my opinion. Make sure you position your plants to cover ways to get to feeding stations. Nice tank though. It's a perfect size for an adult crested gecko

I don't care if it a baby or adult not going to one untill I get tank ready but if tank is to big for a baby then I guess I will have to get an adult

Well, I have a mini tall, my crested is about 6 months old, and its perfect now, but in 6 months to a year I may lean towards your tank or a upright 20 gallon long. You can get a baby, but maybe start out in a large kk or modified container until he/she is big enough to move to your tank. Your main concern is that you crested will find the food and have comfortable spots that are well hidden. For large areas you would need lots of feeding stations. I did about 3 at first in my mini tall until I knew he was eating well, then scaled down to now just 1 ledge feeder. If you have the ability, DIY has worked best for me, my crested, and my wallet. You can usually find pretty cheap accessories at expos or online and the rest is just a trip to the hardware store and a few hours of time. Lots of easy ways to make ledge feeders for way less money. I would recommend paper towel substrate for a baby, but if you want more planted Viv ideas and do end up getting an adult, I found this place a while back that sells full kits of flowers and pants specifically for crested geckos and other species. Here is the link http://www.neherpetoculture.com/plants

Once I start the move to the next tank I'm going to switch to a planted Viv. If you have any questions, feel free to ask or pm me.

Just saw the new pic. Definitely a lot better. I'll show you mine (sorry, little dirty right before cleanings lol) but my cresty loves to hide in the leaves and use the vine. They don't typically like being on the floor surface as much unless your feeding live insects. I would really recommend CGD though. Stuff is great.

Hi I do have a smaller tank 12"x12"x18" is that a good size for one crested gecko? The big one has a hole in the screen and no light. The little one nothing is wrong with that one so I don't have to buy much for it
I hope some one answer this soon

The 12x12x18, is it an Exo terra like the one you showed? I think that would be a much better option for a baby. You can always move up to the larger tank once the crested gets a bit older. I would still try to implement 2-3 feeding stations at first.

If you get a baby go with the small one at first, you can get the other one ready so when it's time to switch, you're all ready

Think go head and get a young adult since already have the big tank ready. How old do you recommend for the big tank? I don't want to get it at a pet store want to find a breeder

Well, I honestly think a crested of good weight between 6months to a year old would be alright for the big tank. Implement at least 3 feeding stations. Try and find a breeder that knows his/her stuff. Pangea has a great forum for crested geckos and they have a lot of great reputable breeders with some pretty amazing stuff.
