Cricket Food/Water Question

In the past I haven't fed crickets very often due to the hassle and stench (I can't believe how much they stink!), but I have a hatchling that is ONLY interested in crickets...no meal worms or wax worms of ANY size will grab her attention, but throw some crickets in there and her tail starts buzzing and she's all over them!

So recently I started getting a few dozen medium crickets at a time, and keeping them at my house. Here's my question...what is the best (an not outrageously expensive) cricket food and water product? I know a lot of places around me carry Flukers, but there are SO MANY products. Should I get the Orange Cube Diet, or the High Calcium Cricket Feed and High Calcium Water Crystals. If I did that, would I need to dust with c-powder? Would I run the risk of too much calcium?

Thanks for any input guys!

Here's what I feed my crix:

Flukers cricket chow
Flukers cricket quencher
ground up cat food
fresh carrots
apples

I do put Repashy insect gut load in there too.

I have tried the Flukers orange cube stuff, my crix will not touch it!!

I use a 2'' paint brush to "sweep" the cage clean and I keep a small fan going.
In the winter, I need to use a space heater because they are in the basement!! and yes, they stink!! :main_thumbsdown:
That's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed on my dubiea colony.

I use the same gutload (progeckos) that I use with the mealworms and occasionally some dry catfood and veggies. I bought the water crystals online which was a very good investment and make up 16 ounces of gel at a time. I keep my small crickets and my current feeding group of large crickets in 2 different faunariums which provide good ventilation. I keep the majority of the 1500 crickets I order about every 2-3 weeks in a 10 gallon tank with a mesh cover. If the smell gets bad, I sift out the dead crickets and then it's fine. I have not had too much trouble with odor.
